Pastoral Care
At Brighton Elim we value people. It is the people who make up the church and not the building. As a result we are available to visit, pray with you, or to encourage you to encounter God and be transformed into his likeness.
Our Pastoral Care is co-ordinated by Christy Smith and his team who would be happy to hear from you. You can contact him by phone on 07523849646 or email christy@brightonelim.org.uk as well as making an appointment for Wednesday mornings at the Fountain Centre.
Newhaven Town Chaplains
Chaplains are here to serve the people of Newhaven
VISION and VALUES
Newhaven Town Chaplaincy is based on our key value of caring for life.
There is no greater gift in this universe than the gift of life.
As Christians we value life, as Chaplains we will do all that we can to ensure that all people we meet irrespective of their gender, sexuality beliefs, ethnicity, or ability; are assisted where needed, to have a better life, to be supported through the challenges of life, to be comforted through the painful times of life including illness and death.
Do you work in NEWHAVEN?
NTC chaplains offer a non-judgmental, listening ear to anyone of any faith or none who work in or none who work in NEWHAVEN . Our chaplains can visit you in your workplace or at another agreed upon venue. All conversations remain confidential and the concern of the chaplain will be to ensure your emotional and spiritual well-being. They are available to visit any business or individual and this can be arranged by contacting Christy on 07523 849646.
Volunteer chaplains are out and about in the town center of NEWHAVEN to be a friendly presence and offer help for shoppers and others visiting or working in the town Chaplains have been designated to visit work places on a regular basis and they have been selected and trained to be good listeners and are available to talk with colleagues and customers.
We also signpost people to other organisations who are able to offer further help & support to those who need it. For more on this see the Help & Support section.
Through simple friendships chaplains are able to offer an independent, impartial and confidential ear for those who want personal support and can also be made available to those who want to discuss spiritual needs or receive prayer.
