In line with the communicated guidelines from the Government with regards to the COVID-19 outbreak the leadership of Brighton and Newhaven Elim have taken the decision to suspend all services and group meetings with immediate effect until further notice.
The safety and welfare of all members and friends of our church family is of the highest priority. We believe Care, Communication and Connection are of critical importance at this time of unusual challenge. We will work hard through the communication channels available to us to ensure that those most in need are cared for. With your help, we will do all that we can to maintain strong connections with each other. We will keep the channels of communication open as best we can.
Over the next few days we will be contacting you to suggest some people who you can connect with. These connect groups will be local to you and are for each of us to reach out to each other and offer physical, mental and spiritual support to help the leadership team. We are working to bring you access to various resources for those who are in isolation that will be by phone, text, face time, and social media. Our vision is to continue to operate as a church family and reach our communities with the love of God.
This is a time of challenge, but we believe that by God's grace and our faith in Him, we can grow through these circumstances and emerge an even stronger church than we are currently. Some of us will be available to help shop and deliver essentials pray for you and just be at the end of a phone for encouragement.
We have set up an ARK (Act of Random Kindness) hotline on 07955748479 that will allow you to contact the leadership team with any concerns or needs that you may have. With the network we have set up we will do what we can to assist you. Please be patient while we come to terms with how church is going to look and feel for a while, but also the practical aspects of running a church building especially as our rental income has now stopped.
During this very difficult and unprecedented time we as a leadership team will be upholding you in prayer and we encourage you to continue to seek the Lord for peace and comfort and that He will bring us all through to a new place in him.
